Automation Time Savings Calculator

Count the time left after maintenance.

Use a timed sample of the task. Include checking failures and maintaining connections in the weekly allowance. All calculations stay in your browser.

Try changing the maintenance figure until the time saving disappears. That is a useful boundary to know before building.

What the numbers mean

Gross weekly hours = minutes × tasks × people × percentage removed ÷ 6,000. Net weekly hours subtract the whole-team maintenance allowance. Annual hours use your working weeks. Year one also subtracts setup time.

Payback divides setup hours by positive net weekly savings. Zero or negative savings have no payback. Working weeks exclude time off; they are not calendar weeks.

This is a time estimate, not a financial return or a reason to remove human judgement. Software costs, training outside setup and changes in workload need their own review.
